WINGS is a women’s ministry overseen by our Elders. It is a weekly Bible study and devotional time that draws women from the congregation and the community. Our goal is to seriously study God’s word as we love and encourage each member of the class. This is a wonderful opportunity to grow together in our Christian walk.
Women who are involved in WINGS develop close friendships which extend into their daily lives while enjoying occasional luncheons and day trips. These women volunteer to help with projects and missions striving to serve our Creator.
Join us as we strengthen our sisterhood in Christ. You will leave enriched and truly blessed by being there.
This ministry helps to make sure the sick, shut-ins and those in need are visited and encouraged regularly.
“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”
(Philippians 2:1-4, NIV)
Our goal for this ministry is to remember our military service men and women in prayer and to send cards of encouragement.
“Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.”
(Ephesians 6:7-8, NIV)
