Lads to Leaders

Welcome to Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes at Snellville!

Lads to Leaders & Leaderettes is the oldest and largest leadership training program used by the churches of Christ. Through Lads to Leaders, youth and adults develop their God given talents to serve in the Kingdom and develop their overall leadership skills.

Participants can select from 37 events, the majority of which are non-competitive (26) and cover a wide range of interests.  Competition is only a small part of the program.

This year, we are making some exciting changes in our primary education department that will help us achieve our goal of making L2L a year-round part of the church at Snellville.

Beginning on Wednesday, September 1, students in grades 3-6 will have the opportunity to study God’s word, serve others as Good Samaritans, and develop their talents in leading worship and teaching others.

Classes will no longer be divided by grade level, but students will work with their friends in small groups and rotate through different modules.  In keeping with the L2L convention theme, we will focus on the Gospel of John.  To reinforce the message, students will test their knowledge in a “Bible Bowl.”  Students will also serve by working in the food pantry, visiting nursing homes, and preparing packages for the needy, among many other opportunities to serve.  They will learn to teach by writing and performing puppet lessons for the younger classes.  We hope you and your children will be excited about these opportunities.

Whether you choose to participate in the annual convention or not, we want you and your children to take advantage of every opportunity this great program offers to help our church and our leaders and leaderettes grow in their ability and desire to know, serve and worship God.  We’d love to have you join us!

One of the most exciting parts about L2L is the annual convention. The convention is always held Easter weekend. This year’s convention will be held April 22-24, 2011. Snellville attends the convention held in Atlanta at the Hyatt Regency. The convention theme is John 14:21, “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.”

In addition to student involvement, we are also looking for team leaders from the adults in our congregation. Find your role in serving the Lord and His Kingdom in Snellville by getting involved in Lads to Leaders.
