"A Different Gospel?"   Harold Savage and Monty Joseph (Winter 2012)
In the first century, Paul was disturbed that the true gospel was being abandoned for a “different gospel” (Gal. 1:6). Emptied of grace, that gospel held that one was justified by law. Today we also face a danger of teaching and following a different gospel, but instead of grace, this one has been emptied of total commitment. Is it possible we have fallen prey to an “Americanized” gospel that believes we can still “have it all” rather than being willing to forfeit the things our Master said we would need to in order to completely follow Him? Just what does it look like to “take up one’s cross daily,” and how might the world change if we did just that?

"David - A Man After God's Own Heart" – Jim Dobbs and Harold Savage (Spring 2016)
What can a man who lived almost 3,000 years ago teach us today? More than we might think. David lived during a time of decline, disillusionment and danger in Israel’s history, not unlike today. He had a shining moment facing Goliath and a dark hour with Bathsheba. He failed as a father, but his people adored him.

Above all, he loved the Lord with all his heart, soul and mind. We’re not much different than David. Where he triumphed, we triumph. Where he stumbled, we stumble too. Share in his joys, agonize over his mistakes, and learn from his life. Gain insight into how David learned to hang on when everything around him came crashing down. Understand why he was called “a man after God’s own heart.”

“Afterlife (and How We Should Live Now in View of it)” – taught by Monty Joseph (Winter 2016-17)
Few of us spend much time probing God’s Word to discover what can be known about our existence beyond the grave.  Have you ever wondered what Heaven is really going to be like? Have you ever wondered what we will look like or what we will do? Have you pondered about the nature of our existence between death and the Final Judgment? Is there a difference between Hell and Hades? Ultimately what we believe about life after death affects how we live life before death.
